Catherine is the 19 year old daughter of Sutton and Theresa Rigg of Wise, Virginia. She is a junior at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise and employed by Cavalier Pharmacy. Her ambition is to become a Pharmacist and operate her own business in Wise County, where she can contribute to her community through civic and church organizations. At her fair, she enjoyed helping produce a pageant for all age groups, giving guided tours around her fair ground, handing out ribbons, and entertaining the children on Kid’s Day. Catherine has volunteered with her local church, local elementary schools, nursing homes, and for the regional blood drive. She also had the opportunity to participate in a walk-a-thon, model for charity events, and help prepare packages to be sent to

. In her spare time, Catherine enjoys tennis, snow and water skiing, reading, traveling, arts and crafts, photography, and dancing. Catherine’s platform is Read to a Child.
